Just came across an old but still actual and interesting article about environmental cars, ethanol production in Sweden and lobbies behind that. Information in the article is quite general, showing that ethanol production for use in the cars is generally a waste of resources and energy. However, there is also interesting discussion after that with some links for further reading for those who is interested.
